This page explains how FinanceTrekker produces and maintains its content: how we use sources, how AI-assisted tools fit into our workflow, and how we handle corrections, updates, and affiliate relationships.

Who we are

FinanceTrekker is an independent finance publication operated by YK Proje. FinanceTrekker’s content and editorial direction are overseen by founder and editor Hasan Şentürk. Hasan is not a licensed financial advisor. FinanceTrekker is not a large editorial organization.

How content is created

  1. Topic selection. Based on what readers search for and what is genuinely useful to them.
  2. Research. We start from the subject itself: regulations, official guidance, government data, and published research where available. For news and context, reputable financial publications may be used.
  3. Drafting and organization. Articles are written in plain English and structured for skimming. Every article aims to answer three questions: what is this, why does it matter, and what should a reader know about it.
  4. Source use. Important factual claims are expected to rely on identifiable sources. Where a figure cannot be verified, we aim to say so rather than present it as certain.
  5. Publication. Articles are dated when published and carry the author’s byline.

How we use sources

  • For regulations, tax rules, government data, and official statistics, we prefer authoritative primary sources.
  • Primary sources we use regularly include the IRS, SEC, Federal Reserve, BLS, and U.S. Treasury, along with the relevant agency publications, forms, and releases.
  • Reputable financial publications such as CoinDesk, CoinTelegraph, CNBC, MarketWatch, and Yahoo Finance may be used for news, context, and reporting.
  • Sources are selected based on the nature of the claim, their reliability, and their relevance to the topic.
  • Important external sources are cited or linked so readers can check them independently.
  • We do not present other publications’ content as our own.

AI-assisted workflow

FinanceTrekker uses AI-assisted tools as part of its content-production workflow. These tools may assist with research, drafting, organization, editing, summarization, and other production tasks. We do not hide this.

Using AI does not change what we are willing to publish:

  • Using AI to invent sources, people, quotes, statistics, events, financial figures, or regulations is not part of our publishing policy.
  • Important factual claims are expected to rely on identifiable, reliable sources.
  • Content is expected to be original in its wording and to add value beyond the source material rather than reproducing it.

Corrections

If an error is identified, we investigate it and make a correction when appropriate. Corrections are made in the article itself. Material corrections are noted with a date. Readers can report errors through our Contact page, and substantive corrections are recorded in our Corrections log.

Updates

Financial information changes. Articles may be updated when relevant information such as regulations, tax rules, fees, rates, figures, or official guidance changes. When a material update is made, the article’s “Updated” date is changed accordingly.

Affiliate relationships

FinanceTrekker does not currently use affiliate links. If affiliate links are used in the future, they will be disclosed to readers. Affiliate relationships will not determine our editorial conclusions or prevent us from discussing relevant drawbacks. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
